You've Got "IT" Part 4 - Dare to Use/Share "IT"

Welcome to the final part of the “IT” series!

We’ve covered discovering and developing “IT” but it takes courage to USE & SHARE “IT.” Worrying about what others will think and fear stops many from using their talent. What has helped me to walk through fear is

reminding myself that I’m not using “IT” just for me.I USE & SHARE my “IT” (writing talent) to help others, especially teenagers.

One example I will remember forever. A 15-year-old girl and I exchanged e-mails about my novels. She said that Imani in Never Say Goodbye was her favorite because she thought it was a message from God telling her not to kill herself. She wanted to overdose on drugs but decided not to after reading the book!

Without the courage to write & publish my first teen novel, Imani in Young Love & Deception, after 10 literary agents rejected it, I never would have written Imani in Never Say Goodbye. Then, what could have happened to that young girl?

Someone in this world is depending on YOU to USE & SHARE your talent. Allow your inner “IT”: Drive, Determination, Dedication, Discipline, Motivation, Ambition, Persistence, Resilience, Faith, Focus, Passion, Confidence and Courage to override self-doubt or fear.

Oprah sums up this “IT” series best: “Have the courage to follow your passion and if you don’t know what it is, realize that one reason for your existence on earth is to find it. Your life’s work is to find your life’s work and then to exercise the discipline, tenacity, and hard-work to pursue it.”

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to follow this 4-Part series. I hope that it has inspired you. Remember, YOU’VE GOT “IT” so USE & SHARE “IT.”
